Buxtehude - Te Deum laudamus in the Phrygian mode, BuxWV 218 Michel Chapuis, organ
The Te Deum laudamus is a large and complex setting of the traditional plainsong. In the North German tradition, Buxtehude mixes toccata with chorale fantasy in an imaginative treatment of the ancient melody.
